3. Friday encourages furry friends and humane society is pushing for adoptions

SALISBURY, Md. – The theme of the 3rd Friday of this month was “Paw Prints” and, in addition to furry friends, brings out that pets will find their home forever.

We have spoken to the Wicomico Humane Society earlier and they tell us that animal rise is still a big problem. As much as they love animals, they tell me that they are almost full and even use their outdoor kennels, which they supposedly don’t like.

They tell us that they need kitten food, kitten food, cat toys, dog toys, and so much more. They say they have almost exhausted their grooming network and they ask the community for help with the adoption of their dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens. “So we really need to expand, we need people to meet some of our dogs if they are interested in adoption. Now is the best time to do it, we really run out of space, ”Megan Koester, event coordinator and community relations coordinator for the Wicomico Humane Society. “We just really want people to see us in the community and show what we offer and that we have lots of great animals that need a home.”

Humane society also tells us that they have several events planned in hopes of expanding, getting resources for their animals, and getting their pets adopted.

If you want to know how to adopt a furry friend, just give Humane Society a call at 410-749-7603.
