For Wyoming children with cancer and the families who support them, a special day at a bowling alley will have a tremendous impact.

Saturday, March 5th marks the 24th annual Bowl for Jason’s Friends fundraiser. With just days left before the big event, the Jason’s Friends Foundation is urging community members to gather their friends, family, co-workers, church members, or civic groups, raise funds, and come out to support their fellow Wyoming citizens.

Each team of five will bowl for about an hour, and individual bowlers are asked to raise at least $75 in donations. Funds raised at the event will provide financial support to families in the community and across Wyoming whose children have life-threatening childhood cancers and brain or spinal cord tumors.

“The day will be filled with contests, giveaways, free food and drink, prizes and fun,” said Lisa Eades, Volunteer President/CEO and co-founder of Jason’s Friends Foundation. “Free t-shirts will be awarded to any bowler who raises $75 or more in donations, with special adult and youth prize packages for the most funds raised.”

Teams are encouraged to log in for their bowling times and print their team packs online at Team packages are also available at any First Interstate Bank, Hilltop Bank, El Mark-O Lanes, or the Jason’s Friends Foundation office at 340 West B Street. Bowling timeslots can be reserved online or by calling Jason’s Friends Foundation at (307) 235-3421.

“Bowlers of all skill levels are encouraged to participate, including league bowlers, beginners and everyone in between,” said Eades. “Nearly 1,000 bowlers attended the event last year. So this year we are looking for strong support from the community and the state to make this another successful fundraiser.”
