Brandi Carlile performs a stunning rendition of a hit song at the 64th GRAMMYs

Brandi Carlile performed powerfully with “Right On Time” during the 64th annual GRAMMY Awards show on Sunday night (April 3), earning several pauses in applause during the performance as she passionately belted out one of her latest singles. She took the stage seated at a piano before swapping it in for a guitar and displayed stunning musical talent throughout the song.

The ‘Broken Horses’ singer-songwriter has wowed countless fans at previous live performances of the hit song, having performed two of her greatest songs during it Saturday night live debut in October. Carlile was nominated in several categories including: Record of the Year (“Right On Time”), Song of the Year (“A Beautiful Noise” and “Right On Time”), “Best Pop Solo Performance” ( “Right On Time”). and Best American Roots Performance (“Same Devil” by Brandy Clarkwith Carlile).

Carlile has released her latest album, In these quiet daysand debuted the music video “Right On Time” – directed by Courtney Cox – in October. Carlile had never before worked on an album “during a time of such uncertainty and quiet solitude,” she said in a statement at the time. “I never thought that without the armor of a costume, the thrill of a round of applause, and the platform of the sacred stage, I would feel so exposed and strange as an artist. Despite all of this, the songs flowed through – pure and unperformed, loud and proud, happy and sad. Written in my barn at a time of deep and personal reckoning. There’s a lot of thinking going on… but the main thing is celebrating. This album is how drama sounds mixed with joy. It is resistance and gratitude, righteous anger and radical forgiveness. It is the sound of these quiet days.”
