No more chasing cars – it’s all about chasing Court! Courtney Cox and Johnny McDaid have been going strong since 2013 and their nearly eight-year relationship has only evolved since then.
After being first introduced by a mutual friend Ed Sheeranthe previous friends The star and the Snow Patrol musician began dating in September 2013 and engaged in a whirlwind romance, where they got engaged less than a year later in June 2014 and March 2015 – the stars seemed incredibly happy together and often raved about each other in interviews and on social media.
“I know I’ve never loved like this woman,” McDaid said Us weekly in May 2016.
Though they’ve never walked down the aisle, the Irish guitarist made his love for them Cougar Town Actress permanently when he tattooed her initials on his wrist in September 2016.
Two years later, in October 2018, the singer-songwriter explained how his family has happily expanded thanks to Cox and their daughter Coco, who she shares with her ex-husband David Arquette. “We’re growing the way it is and Courteney and Coco come over a lot and we all have a big gathering,” he said US Spending time with his siblings.
For her part, Cox frequently shares cozy Instagram posts with the Irish guitarist, whether it’s for a date night, a jam session (the Glowing Valley Star is a pianist!), a special occasion or just a cute selfie, the TV star is always poetic about her feelings for McDaid on social media.
“He is the kindest, most patient, best listener, curious, caring not to mention a talented and gorgeous partner,” she wrote in a July 2021 Instagram birthday tribute to her boyfriend. “I love you, Jmd.”
The couple have been forced to date over long distance during the COVID-19 pandemic, during which they have been separated for months since March 2020 due to travel and quarantine restrictions.
Though the actress has been open about how much she misses McDaid when they’re apart, that doesn’t mean the two are getting together… via video chat. There is “no Zoom intimacy,” she said Howard Stern in June 2021.
That being said, the entertainers are definitely making the most of their time together.
