Courteney Cox knows how awkward she is in the “Dancing in the Dark” video

Courteney Cox, who appears in Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing in the Dark” video, is one of the greatest “Before They Were Stars” moments of all time, even if her dancing is awkward at best. But to quote Chandler Bing about her dance moves, she knows.

Cox mentioned he was cast in the ‘Dancing in the Dark’ video in a new interview, saying, ‘I thought I was in the wrong place. I said, ‘I don’t know what they’re doing, but I can’t even bend my leg. That’s it.’ I went further [director] Brian De Palma’s office. He turned on the music and said, ‘Well, you’re dancing.’ And I thought, ‘Right now? Here? Before you? Just the two of us?’ I think that’s why I got it, because I was like, ‘Okay!’ I think that’s what they wanted, a fan who just couldn’t believe it.”

All these years later, Cox still digs the Springsteen tune and says, “I love that song. I’m a little embarrassed because that’s how I feel when I see the video when I see it. I mean god. have you seen my dance It was pathetic. I’m not a bad dancer, but that was awful. I was so nervous.”

Honestly, wouldn’t most of us be nervous about being in their shoes right now? And not to reference friends again, but fans already know that Cox has killer dance moves.
