Courteney Cox reveals why there won’t be another Friends reunion

If you thought Courteney Cox pulling a Monica Geller on her Instagram last week was some kind of sign, you might want to think again. In an interview for diversityCox told singer Faith Hill in no uncertain terms where she stands when it comes to making another friends Reunion. In May 2021, a highly anticipated reunion special aired 17 years after the original sitcom’s 10-season run. All six main cast members – Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer – have been reunited.

But despite the overwhelmingly positive response they’ve received from fans worldwide, Cox isn’t keen on doing it again. In no uncertain terms, she said to Hill: “We won’t have another reunion. Can you imagine? We’d be like… how old… We’d be like 80, ‘let’s go back inside.’”

As it turns out, the reunion special was an emotional experience for the cast as well. “Going on stage at Warner Bros. was the most emotional thing. I just burst into tears right away,” Cox recalled. She also revealed that while “the girls see each other a lot,” the six actors “haven’t all been in the same room since the actual show.”

When Hill asked if filming of the reunion had ended, Cox thought back to everything the group had experienced after so many years together. “You name it, we had been through it. So I don’t feel complete, but I just feel like it was the greatest of luck.

“I can’t believe I got this role and was able to make these friends and be a part of something that’s still going on,” Cox gushed. Time to dry your eyes and see again friends Once again!
