Courteney Cox shares a terrifying “Scream” video on Instagram ahead of the 6th film

Courteney Cox is best known for her performance friends‘ Monica Geller, but that’s not the only iconic role she’s held. The actor portrayed reporter Gale Weathers in the Scream Horror film franchise since 1996. In the midst of filming for the highly anticipated Scream 6, Cox shared an amusing but deeply sinister video with the franchise’s terrifying masked killer Ghostface on her Instagram.

In the clip, Cox can be seen on her sofa, in front of a large screen TV showing the security cameras of her home. “I just finished filming Scream… I’m so happy to get my work done,” she says. Exciting music then kicks in as Ghostface appears on Cox’s security cameras. At first the masked attacker is outside, but the last video shows they entered the house. The stuff of nightmares, that’s for sure. Cox captioned the video, “Does this b***h ever get tired?” Fans were quick to share their delight — and horror — in the comments. But the best answer came from the officer Scream Account that quipped, “I’ll be there for you.” Well played, Ghostface.

Cox’s mistress Scream Character Weathers has an on-off relationship with Dewey Riley, portrayed by David Arquette, the actor’s real-life ex-husband, with whom she shares 18-year-old daughter Coco. Cox and Arquette began their romance while working on the film series together. They married in 1999 and finalized their divorce in 2013.

While not much has been revealed about the upcoming sixth installment in the horror film franchise, we do know that it’s scheduled for release in March 2023. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Cox shared that the script for the forthcoming release was “a really good one.” We can hardly wait.
