David Arquette was obviously unaware that he and Drew Barrymore were never dating in the early 1990s.
Arquette previously revealed that he and Barrymore “used to be together when we were very young children. Well, Not Little Kids, ”during an appearance on“ Watch What Happens Live ”in 2014.
Barrymore clearly saw their relationship in a different light, however, as she has since denied that they ever had a romantic relationship during an interview with Howard Stern.

Arquette was then asked by a caller on “WWHL” on Thursday what he thought of Barrymore, whom he snapped hands with at the 1991 “Bugsy” premiere and denied they were ever a thing.
The actor obviously winced and laughed, “I think we weren’t really together. I thought it was us!
“We were really young. Maybe I didn’t ask her to go with me or something. “
“Would it be more friends with benefits?” Cohen then asked as Arquette continued to squirm.

He replied, “I don’t know. I respect their way of describing the relationship. We were just friends, I guess! “
Arquette and Barrymore previously starred together in “Never Been Kissed” from 1999 before they were both later featured in the “Scream” films.
Arquette married “Scream” co-star Courteney Cox from 1999 to 2013 before marrying Christina McLarty in 2015.
Barrymore, on the other hand, was married to Jeremy Thomas from 1994 to 1995, to Tom Green from 2001 to 2002 and to Will Kopelman from 2012 to 2016.
