“Filmland 2021” shows new, experienced filmmakers


Five feature films, 12 shorts and seven student shorts by 23 new and seasoned Arkansas filmmakers will be screened as part of the Arkansas Cinema Society’s “Filmland 2021,” a hybrid event with the “Filmland in the Park” drive-in from September 30th through Oct. 3 in MacArthur Park in Little Rock on East Ninth Street.

Food trucks are ready every evening.

The festival also offers workshops for filmmakers of all ages led by Jeff Nichols, Graham Gordy, Christina McLarty Arquette, and Mario Troncoso.

• “Harvey & Sunshine” directed by Damon McKinnis, Madeleine Noel Murden, Madison De La Garza

The winners of the Short Film Audience Award will be shown on a 12 m drive-in screen on the Saturday and Sunday evenings before the films, and the feature film awarded the Audience Award will be shown in 2022 as part of the company’s Homegrown Film Series.
