Friends of Aine, a nonprofit that supports grieving children, youth and families, hosted a free community event for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one on Sunday June 27 at the Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester.

Sununu issued a proclamation June 27, 2021 as Friends of Aine Gathering in Remembrance Day, which was read at the beginning of the broadcast, followed by remarks from Christine Phillips, Friends of Aine co-founders, and a reminder for attendees that included names and photos of loved ones on the stadium’s jumbotron. A butterfly release and children’s activities were further program highlights.

“We held the memorial meeting to give everyone in grief – especially children – an opportunity to feel the support of the community,” said Phillips. “It is important to talk about our lost loved ones and seek healing in our grief. We are grateful to our sponsors and everyone who attended the event for bringing such positive efforts to success.”
