Anyone who has always thought about electric cars or wants to ride in one is invited to join Friends of Rogers for the 3rd Annual Electric Car Show from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 3, at Rogers Environmental Education Center in Sherburne to visit. You can talk to electric vehicle owners and car dealerships, and even take a test drive, at the event.
“Your first ride in a Tesla is an unforgettable experience and you can enjoy that experience at this event,” said Heather Tehan, Head of Development. âThere is no pressure to buy something at the fair; You can just ask questions and get real information from people who drive electric every day. “
Friends of Rogers follows the guidelines of the Department of Health in force at the time of the event. They expect that masks must be worn in group settings, including outdoors, and especially during test drives. Hand sanitizer is provided and social distancing is encouraged.
The Brake from the Grind Food Truck will be on site and buy healthy and fresh farm-to-truck lunch options and the picnic tables will be available around the Rogers Center. This free, family-friendly event is made possible through a grant from Electrify America and partnership with National Drive Electric Week.
Other non-profit organizations as well as alternative energy companies such as solar and geothermal energy will be founded at the event. Companies that offer charging stations will also be there.
“It’s great to see people get real information about the all-electric and hybrid options available and we’re excited to offer this as part of our environmental education,” said Simon Solomon, Executive Director of Friends of Rogers.
To set up at the show, email Tehan at [email protected] for a seat. Friends of Rogers will also be displaying their 2020 Tesla Model 3 raffle prize, and tickets will be available at the show or online at www.friendsofrogers.org. The last day to purchase raffle tickets is at 6pm on October 15th.
After checking out the cars, there is plenty to do at the Rogers Center, such as:
