Friends organize fundraiser for man hospitalized after Tulsa Oktoberfest attack – FOX23 News

BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma – Friends organize a softball tournament to benefit the man who was beaten while waiting for a shuttle at Oktoberfest.

Kevin Aebi is still in intensive care and has a long way to go in recovery. Aebi was hit several times during the attack. One of the things Aebi is known for is his love for softball. He’s on a team called “The Benchwarmers”.

His team comes together to organize a softball charity on December 4th. This will take place in the Challenger Sports Complex in Broken Arrow. The money raised will be used to help Aebis family with medical bills and more.

Friends Brent Wall and Brooke Wickliffe say Aebi is known for being fun, happy and loyal. They usually say he’s always the one who de-escalates things when softball games get hot.

Wickliffe says: “He is the first to be between people; he simply de-escalates all situations. “

Wall says, “He’s always a good guy no matter what the situation is.”

The benefit consists of food, a raffle, shirts labeled #Kevinstrong, and more. If you want to learn more, you can call 918-600-4976.

You can also donate to a link set up at the First State Bank of Pond Creek. You can find more information about donations in the flyer.
