Over the past few years, Somerset has proven to be a popular haven for celebrities in search of peace and quiet, with megastars and cult heroes spotted across the county.
In the last year alone, Somerset locals have been pampered with the sigh of Hugh Grant eating a sausage roll and Jack Whitehall drinking wine with his father outside McDonald’s.
Actor Hugh Grant was spotted walking the streets of Frome as the third lockdown wore off in April.

The main character of love actually was recognized by staff at the Parsons bakery, where he bought a bacon roll, a coffee and a custard slice.
Sophie Jayne Ilott, who worked as the bakery’s assistant manager, served the actor on Tuesday and said he was a “very polite and eloquent gentleman”.
The actor was then spotted again in the county in June shooting a major movie at Wells Cathedral.

Grant shot scenes for his villainous role in the adaptation of Dungeons and Dragons, alongside fellow film colleagues Chris Pine and Bridgerton’s star Regé-Jean Page.
The 60-year-old actor was spotted wearing a white shirt, gold-and-purple patterned waistcoat, and a matching neck scarf as he paused between scenes.
Filming for a major movie resulted in yet another celebrity sighting in Bath this summer when Dakota Johnson, the star of Fifty Shades of Gray, appeared on the Royal Crescent filming a new adaptation of Jane Austen’s Persuasion.
The cast and crew shot in Bath in June causing the closure of several streets including Brock Street, Upper Church Street, Bath Street and Hot Bath Street.
Netflix said the film will be “a modern, fun take on a popular story,” adding that the adaptation will stay true to Austen’s classic novel.
Photos taken on the production set showed Dakota Johnson in a green velvet coat and period costume at Royal Crescent on June 24th.
Locals also saw horse-drawn carriages and actors in period costume on Bath Street.
Elsewhere in Somerset, Jack Whitehall posted a TikTok of himself and his father about to have a picnic in front of McDonald’s in Sparkford.
The two took a break from filming their Netflix documentary series Jack Whitehall: Traveling With My Dad.
The A303 restaurant can be seen in the background when Jack panned the camera briefly and said, “We could just get a McDonald’s – literally there is one.”
Jack’s father, talent agent and TV producer Michael Whitehall, however, insisted that they eat their packed lunch instead.
In the short TikTok video you can see Michael sipping a glass of white wine in the cup holder while a glass of Colman’s mustard is waiting next to the homemade Scotch eggs.
Our latest celebrity spotting came from Friends star Courteney Cox, who was spotted visiting Frome recently.
The 56-year-old shared a selfie on her Instagram story in the Badcox room earlier this year.
Cox was visibly amused by her eponymous street as she made sure that ‘6A Badcox’ was in the background of her picture and added the caption ‘6B Goodcox’.
The renowned actress also shared a picture on the social media platform with her partner Johnny McDaid of Snow Patrol, who was taking a walk in a wooded area next to a river that could have been the Mells or Great Elm.
It’s not the first time Cox, whose actors include the satirical slasher franchise Scream, has visited the area.
In 2018 she enjoyed an unforgettable and eventful stopover at Babington House, a 15-minute drive from Frome, on New Year’s Eve.
