Jennifer and Jason have been friends for decades

The actor and actress have been friends for decades and have starred in many of the same films together.

Both appeared in the 2010 film The Switch, the 2011 comedy Horrible Bosses, the 2014 sequel, and the 2016 Christmas film Office Christmas Party.

In fact, they met long before they were cast in The Switch, as Jennifer said at a 2010 press conference for the film: “We’ve known each other for a long time. We just have simple chemistry.”

In an interview with Relevant Magazine, the star revealed they met in their 20s when one of their friends co-starred with him on a TV show called Simon.

Simon was a comedy that ran from 1995 to 1996, so the two probably met in the early to mid ’90s, which is almost 30 years ago.

“He was in a completely different mental realm then but still beautiful and gorgeous and I just always adored him,” she said.

Both are the same age and at the time Jennifer was starring in Friends while Jason was in the TV shows This Can’t Be Love, Chicago Sons and Some of My Best Friends.

Jason says their bond has ‘a lot of history’

They’ve been best friends since the ’90s and both have lots of nice things to say about their incredible bond.

Speaking to E! On a red carpet, the actor was asked about his friendship with the actress, to whom he said: “We have a lot of history and she is a great example.”

“She’s obviously hugely famous and hugely successful and you can see her handling that with incredible normality and down-to-earthness,” he continued.

“That little bit I swim into every few years — she taught me a lot about how to handle it and enjoy it without getting too into it.”

In the same interview with Relevant Magazine, Jennifer gushed, “He’s just adorable. There’s nothing about him that isn’t squeezable.”

They go on vacation together and meet at home

Over the years, the close friends have taken numerous vacations and love to take trips together.

Their first vacation was a ski trip in the 90’s and since then they have traveled countless countries with other friends and family.

In 2015 they went to Telluride, Colorado for the holidays, then in 2017 they vacationed in sunny Mexico. What’s more, the actor even accompanied her on her honeymoon in 2015!

When the We Are the Millers actress was married to Justin Theroux, they went to Bora Bora for their honeymoon, bringing along friends Courteney Cox, Chelsea Handler and Jason Bateman.

However, the couple also love to chill at home together, and The Hollywood Reporter once revealed that the 53-year-old host of Sunday Fundays is staying at her house, which she spends with her friends.

In March 2022, the Scrubs actor even filmed his appearance at the Golden Globes at her home, and they’re also often spotted at parties and nights out together.

The pair have an enviously close bond that spans four decades and certainly doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon.
