Jennifer Aniston is ‘at peace’ about her IVF journey.
The 53-year-old actress recently revealed she had secretly undergone unsuccessful IVF treatment in the past, but friends have insisted that despite her struggles, Jennifer is “really happy at the moment”.
A source told PEOPLE: “However, she was always happy. Her dogs are her children to her and why she always had them. Her IVF journey was private and hers and those close to her knew but never asked.
“But she is at peace and very happy in her life. She’s in a great place and she knows it. Children or no children, it has not changed them.”
Explaining why Jennifer decided to speak up about her fertility issues now, the source added, “She’s 53 now and knows it [children] Ship’s gone, so why not?”
This comes after Jennifer has spoken openly about how difficult speculation about her fertility has been.
She told Allure, “All the years and years and years of speculation … It’s been really hard.
“I went through IVF, drank Chinese tea, whatever. I threw everything at it. I would have given anything if someone had said to me, ‘Freeze your eggs.’ You just don’t think so. So I’m here today. The ship has sailed.
“I have no regrets. I actually feel a little relieved now because there’s no ‘Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.’ I don’t have to think about that anymore.”
