Jennifer Aniston burst into tears while working with Dolly Parton


Although Dolly Parton technically never appeared in the 2018 Netflix movie Dumplings, it served as the real inspiration of the film. Her music sets the unusual coming-of-story about a teenager – torn between pageant queens and Drag queens – who adored the country singer. Parton even contributed six new songs to the soundtrack. Including a collaboration with one of the Dumplings Stars, Jennifer Aniston! From this recording experience, Aniston called it “terrifying … I just burst into tears!” Speak with Entertainment tonightthe actress explained how emotional it is to sing alongside an icon like Dolly Parton. For her part, however, Parton says Aniston handled the experience “like a pro”.


The 2018 Netflix movie Dumplings follows the story of an outcast Texas Teenager named Willowdean (Danielle Macdonald). Instead of going to pageants – much to the chagrin of her mother Rosie (Jennifer Aniston), a former beauty queen – Willowdean finds her real outlet in the music of Dolly Parton. A fantasy for three ?!

As if that Dumplings Content wasn’t enough to tie these two beloved stars together, apparently Parton’s husband Carl Thomas Dean has his own special thoughts about the duo. Parton appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s late night talk show in 2018 to get stuck Dumplingswhen the conversation took an intriguing turn. Regarding Aniston, Parton said:

“I love her to death … My husband is crazy about her and he was more excited that I was going to make a movie with her than that I had the chance to write all this music he fantasizes like a threesome.”

No wonder this admission was quickly trending on social media. (Especially when you consider that Dean is notoriously private.) And Parton obviously has a sense of humor in the whole thing. She went on to embarrass her husband, saying, “He can’t even pee, let alone for three!” Oh, Dolly …
