There is a young lady in North Dakota who is walking a little bigger today, her name is Reyna Bergstrom, or NOW you can call her Miss North Dakota! The Miss North Dakota competition was held in Williston over the weekend. I wrote an article about this event back in April, KFYR reported that “The Miss North Dakota Organization has announced the return of its competition for this summer as planned and personally” Great news for everyone involved. Look at that, until last Saturday, current Miss North Dakota Haley Wolfe had the crown for two years (due to the pandemic that canceled the event last year).
All the excitement and pageantry came back in full force as Williston, North Dakota hosted the 18 contestants hoping to win the title. The night belonged to Reyna Bergstrom, the loud Bismarck Tribune is a 2018 graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. She works as a content specialist in the school’s marketing team. The year “lost” by COVD-19 was definitely missed by everyone – from the audience to the participants and their families, a large void was not filled. Reyna said it best, according to KFYR
“That’s what we’ve been missing, that personal connection, so I look forward to being with people again, with students, with people all over North Dakota.”
So what now? Imagine waking up the next day with a beautiful crown on your dresser knowing that it will be attending the 100th anniversary of the Miss America contest in December. Impressive!
