This book builds on the success of HBO Max Friends: The reunion Special. Though delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the special aired May 27, 2021, and brought Perry and co-stars Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Lisa, Kudrow and Matt Le Blanc for the first time since back to the season finale screen. This special became the most-watched program on the UK Sky One network, with strong ratings around the world as well.

This will be the first memoir to be published by a member of Main friends cast, although many books have been written about the history of the show itself. Doubly so considering that the sitcom’s runtime coincides almost exactly with key points in its story.
