Based on a short story by author Michael Connelly, the series is set in the city of Avalon on Catalina Island. The story follows Nicole “Nic” Searcy (Campbell), a detective in the LA Sheriff’s Department who operates out of a small office in town. The series will then follow Searcy as she is drawn into a mystery the island has never seen before, and something that may make or break her career as a detective.

No release date has been set for the series at this time, though ABC ordered her direct to the series earlier this year.
