Scream 6 fan posters bring Ghostface to New York City


Fan artist Creepy Duck Design is releasing three mockup posters for the upcoming Scream 6 that combine Ghostface imagery with New York City landmarks.

A fan artist has designed three potentials scream 6 Posters reminiscent of the New York City area. The forthcoming sixth entry in the meta-slasher franchise (which has yet to receive an official title) will regroup the people behind the reboot sequel Scream 2022, with directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett and writers James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick all returning. Many members of the surviving cast from previous films will also return, including Courteney Cox, Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Mason Gooding and Jasmine Savoy Brown, along with newcomers such as Dermot Mulroney, Jack Champion, Henry Czerny and Josh Segarra, as well as the newly returning Legacy -Performer Hayden Panettiere as Kirby Reed, the fan-favorite character scream 4.


So far, not many details about the plot of are known scream 6, although the initial information that has been released is intriguing. It will completely leave the Woodsboro backdrop behind, transplanting the original film’s survivors to New York City, in a move that will surely have resident horror fan Mindy Meeks-Martin referencing various horror films in the city as how e.g Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason conquers Manhattan, candy manand Poltergeist III. It wouldn’t be the first time Scream took place outside of his city of origin, like scream 2 took place on a college campus in Ohio scream 3 focused on the production of a prick movies in Hollywood.

On Twitter, fan artists Creepy duck design shared several concepts for scream 6 Posters combining Ghostface imagery with iconic New York City landmarks. The first envisions Ghostface as a Statue of Liberty wielding a shiny knife instead of a torch. This is followed by a Ghostface mask of clouds emerging from behind a Messer skyscraper and traffic on a bridge driving into the mask’s spooky mouth. Check out the posters below.

The final design that Creepy Duck Design shared was inspired by a piece they created prior to the release of the fifth Scream Film depicting a road winding into the mouth of the Ghostface mask. In an unprecedented move, this design eventually inspired the actual Dolby poster for Scream 2022. The advertising team behind the new one Scream Films clearly has this artist on their radar, so it wouldn’t be surprising if something similar to one of these designs ended up in the official PR campaign for scream 6.

scream 6 is currently filming in Canada, so there’s a chance these designs will feed into even subtle moments of the project itself. That Scream The cast and crew are keenly aware of the online fandom surrounding their projects and often incorporate it into the overall meta-narrative of it all. That all remains to be seen, but fans are sure to get more updates soon.
