‘Scream’ cast member 25 years later

Ghostface appeared for the first time twenty five years ago. Right, it was a full quarter of a century ago Scream premiered, and yet it remains one of the most iconic and influential horror satires ever created. The year was 1996 and the most famous cast member at the time, Drew Barrymore, had a twist up his sleeve. While she was used to promote the film, she actually dies in the first few minutes of running time. It was utterly goofy, and it defined a franchise that would be revered for its willingness to surprise in ways few others are. (While this may be a controversial opinion, there isn’t a single part that doesn’t hold up the landing. Yes, I’m counting the fourth too.)

What’s even better Scream still has all the key players in place. (Except, of course, Wes Craven, the mastermind behind it all.) But even when he was gone, Scream is celebrating a 25-year heyday as it also weighs in with an outstanding fifth tranche set to be released in early 2022. This is what the cast looked like then … and where they are now.
