Scream Star Neve Campbell Leads Hilarious Horror Parody Red Cross Ad


Though she won’t be in the upcoming Scream 6, fan-favorite last girl Neve Campbell has appeared in a new blood donation campaign for the American Red Cross, and it’s a hilarious horror film parody. Bloody Disgusting noted the ad, which includes a few moments straight out of fans’ favorite horror movies, including: multiple references to Friday the 13tha direct reference to the fisherman I know what you did last summera HalloweenZombie themed babysitter joke, a zombie gag (with a shot taken straight from the movie The glow) and finally a masked killer who of course at Scream. Filming is underway on the next Scream movie and as previously reported, Campbell will not be reprising her role as Sydney Prescott. “Unfortunately, I won’t be doing the next one Scream Movie,” Campbell previously confirmed in a statement. “As a woman, I’ve had to work extremely hard in my career to establish my worth, especially when it comes to film Scream. I felt that the offer I was presented with did not match the value I brought to the franchise. It was a very difficult decision to continue. To all my Scream fans i love you You have always been so incredibly supportive of me. I am forever grateful to you and for what this franchise has given me over the past 25 years.”

Although many fans were disappointed to hear that Campbell would not be appearing in the sequel, much of the franchise’s cast stood behind her and expressed their support for her decision not to star in the film.

“A Scream Movie without Sidney is kind of unfortunate, but I understand her decision,” her former co-star David Arquette told ComicBook earlier this year for a Movie. I understand she’s still alive! she [can] Definitely going to be in future ones, but I think it’s up to the fans to request this in the future. […] It’s sudden, but it’s a business. I definitely respect her decision.”

Scream 6 cast members include Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding and Jasmine Savoy Brown, who will reprise their roles from 2022 Scream. Actor Dermot Mulroney will also appear with actress Hayden Panettiere, repeating her scream 4 also the role of Kirby Reed. Jack Champion (Avengers: Endgame, Avatar: The Way of Water), Liana Liberato (Light as a feather), Devyn Nekoda (Sneakerella) and Josh Segarra (Arrow‘s Adrian Chase) have also all signed on for the sequel, which was recently canceled Impossible Mission also star Henry Czerny. The sixth Scream is scheduled to hit theaters on March 31, 2023
