Senator Kennedy criticizes social media standards “disgusting” after a trans woman trying to breastfeed goes viral

Senator John Kennedy R-La., Called out the blatant double standards of Big Tech leadership after a video of a transgender parent attempting unsuccessfully to breastfeed a baby went viral.

“What I find strange is why so many social media platforms allow this, but not allow other things,” Kennedy told Fox News Primetime host Pete Hegseth on Tuesday.

“Social media is no longer a level playing field. I’m not sure if it ever was. But what we see and what we are allowed to say on social media is censored. And the people who censor it are the people who do social media, and in many ways they have made social media a killing field for the truth. “

“How is this video not an example of, say, … medical misinformation?”

Kennedy responded to a viral clip of a transgender couple from “9 Months with Courteney Cox” who seem to have switched roles. The video shows the family lying in bed shortly after the birth of Ahanu, who identifies himself as the baby’s father.

“The baby was able to lock itself,” says Petrona, a transgender woman, into the camera while Ahanu watches. “But I couldn’t produce milk. That’s fine because I’ll add formula to the diet so my baby still gets the nutrients it needs, but I still have hope.”

Fox News host Pete Hegseth pointed out that the video was advertised on Facebook without the “medical misinformation” label.

“How is this video not an example of, say, … medical misinformation?” he asked. “Facebook has decided that it will be the arbiter of truth and science. Why shouldn’t you watch this video and say that it doesn’t meet the requirements? “

“I’m not a doctor,” continued Hegseth, “but although we have nipples, men cannot breastfeed with a good, tight latch.”

Kennedy called social media companies “woke up disgusting.”

“What bothers me is that the people who run social media control what we see and what we are allowed to say. Now the people who run social media are very smart. I give that to them. ” he said.

“The people who do social media say when it comes to their censorship that they are fair, objective, and impartial, and when they think they will never own a home. If you think you’re like a rock, just more stupid it’s just the fact that I think the people who run social media have woken up …

“Well,” said Kennedy, “they have the right to have their political beliefs. Do not get me wrong. But given the status of social media, the fact that it has permeated virtually every aspect of our lives … media acted by their political beliefs and censorship, they violate the well-regulated federal law of the United States’ Constitution. “
