A sweater for £2,370? At this price, Strictly presenter Claudia Winkleman could have had one that didn’t look like the colors ran in the wash!

The Strictly Come Dancing presenter wore the sweater for an Instagram ad last week, in which she tucked in her Boots No 7 makeup and skincare line.

Crafted by Los Angeles-based luxury lifestyle brand The Elder Statesman, the cable-knit is 100% cashmere.

And while it looks like the 50-year-old has given the pricey garment a hot wash, the Californian company boasts of tying their clothes to create “vibrant colors and funky prints.”

The publicity continues: “Handspun yarns, delicate cashmere and relaxed style with charming details characterize this West Coast label that is sure to add a ray of sunshine to any wardrobe.”

The fashion house, a favorite of the likes of Rihanna, Harry Styles and Jennifer Aniston, also sells dressing gowns for £1,885 and handmade cashmere socks – a bargain at just £235 a pair.

While the sweater isn’t for everyone, Ms. Winkleman can certainly afford an expensive clothing line.

She is reportedly worth over £10million thanks to high-paying roles that include Strictly and a Saturday morning slot on BBC Radio 2.

Aside from her TV and radio appearances, Ms Winkleman, famous for her hairdo, is about to embark on Behind The Fringe, a ten-day theater tour of the UK.

On the show, she will share anecdotes from her life, interview viewers on stage and even include a group fringe trimming session.
