Taylor Swift recently released the 10-minute version of her single, “All Too Well,” and within hours fans were starting to theorize about all of the hidden meanings of the reworked track. Including that one very compelling theory that Jennifer Aniston is “the actress” mentioned in the song.

‘All Too Well’ was first released in 2012. After Taylor’s argument with the music producer Scooter Braun, the singer re-recorded a 10-minute version of the single with revised lyrics and a new 15-minute video Strange things Star Sadie Sink and Teen wolfis Dylan O’Brien.

The song tells the story of a breakup that many fans believe relates to Taylor’s breakup with Jake Gyllenhaal (although nothing has been confirmed by Taylor himself.) Why? The couple dated briefly from October to December 2010, a few months before their 2012 album Red, which premiered “All Too Well”.

The revised track contains new lyrics, including a saying: “Don’t cry in a party toilet / An actress asks me what happened, you / This is what happened, you.”

Fans quickly began to theorize that Jennifer Aniston was the “actress” the text was referring to, thanks to a conversation Taylor and Jennifer allegedly had at the January 2011 People’s Choice Awards.

At the time, it was widely reported that Jennifer reached out to Taylor at the ceremony because she “wanted Taylor to know everything was okay,” and told her to “stick with it” amid reports of their breakup from Jake Gyllenhaal. In a 2011 Daily News article, a source also claimed Jennifer told Taylor to “go and have fun.”

Fans quickly posted the theory on Twitter, with some referring to the timeline, which seems to fit perfectly, while others couldn’t handle the idea that Taylor would refer to the actual Jennifer Aniston as “an actress.”
