THIS Sex and the City alum FAST wrote the role of Monica Geller in Friends; FIND OUT

Actress Kristin Davis recently appeared on the Late Late Show With James Corden talking about her Sex and the City character Charlotte York. The actress also announced that she auditioned once for the role of Monica Geller on Friends, which was eventually played by Courteney Cox. She said, “I think I was one of about 8,000 young women who read for Monica.” The actress also mentioned that she and Courteney were friends from the yoga class.

Courteney invited Kristin and several other yoga class friends to buy a Porsche after she had just turned a pilot that she felt “very good about,” Kristin said. In the end, it was the iconic series we all know and love: Friends. While Davis didn’t play the role of the “crazy plate lady” on the show, as fans may remember, the actors had a cameo on the show in season “seven, seven, seven”. She starred as the girlfriend of Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) and the love interest of Joey (Matt LeBlanc).

However, Kristin remembered the role and said that it presented challenges. “I remember sleeping,” she said of her role as Erin. “Partly because of the live audience, but partly because you are in this world that is so alive and so specific and you are trying to fit in properly there.”

Though she didn’t get the role of Monica on the show, Kristin wrote the role of Charlotte York on another iconic ’90s show – Sex and the City. Since then, the show has continued its story with 2 films and has just released the franchise’s reboot show – And Just Like That.
